Palazzo della Signoria, or "Palazzo Vecchio" (the "Old Palace"), has been the symbol of the civic power of Florence for over seven centuries. Today as then the building dominates Piazza Signoria with its soaring tower and fortress like presence. Inside are offices, museums, and treasures of Florence waiting to be found by all who enter.
